Dr. Lingjia Liu is recognized as 2011 CIE Eweek’s New Faces of Engineering

Dr. Linjia Liu was recognized as 2011 EWeek’s New Faces of Engineering representing CIE-USA. Dr. Liu will be recognized at the 2011 National Asian American Engineers of the Year (AAEOY) Award Banquet on Saturday, February 26th, in Seattle, Washington. This is a very prestigious honor because Dr. Liu has been selected among winners from all CIE-USA chapters. Winner from each organization will be posted on National Engineers Week website. Their photos will be published on USA Today.

National Engineers Week recognizes the accomplishments of all engineers. The New Faces of Engineering program highlights the interesting and unique work of young engineers and the resulting impact on society. Young engineers under thirty years old are the focus of this recognition program. National Engineers Week sponsoring societies nominated young working engineers from among their membership.

Dr. Liu served as CIE 2010 VP of Young Professional and CIE 2009 Technical Director in Telecommunications. He is a bright young professional with a passion to serve. CIE is blessed to have him in our team.

BIO of Dr. Liu:

Dr. Lingjia Liu, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Engineer working in the Dallas Telecommunication R&D Center of Samsung Electronics. He is currently working on the standardization of LTE-Advanced system, which has been regarded as the global candidate for 5G cellular standard. Dr. Liu’s achievements and outstanding contributions have led to international acknowledgment in the community, which includes more than 10 journal papers and more than 10 U.S. patents.

Dr. Liu shows great leadership and helps boost the image of the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) – USA /DFW Chapter (Dallas Fort-Worth Chapter) among students and young professionals. More than 50 new members have joined to the organization due to his efforts. He is also the organizer and the host of the telecommunication symposium which benefits engineers in DFW area.
