Please join the Collin College School of Engineering for ongoing speaker series which highlights a speaker for each specific area of the department. This series is open and free to the public. The speaker in February is Leo Lorenz from Cisco Systems who will speak to the Computer Networking students. He will speak on Wednesday, February 13, 6 – 7 pm at Preston Ridge Campus – Event Center, Section E. His topic will be “The Post PC Era”. Bio of Leo Lorenz
Leo Lorenz is a Systems Engineering Manager at Cisco Systems in Richardson Texas. He has held this position since 2007. Prior to that, he worked as a Consulting Systems Engineer at Cisco. He has over fifteen years of experience with the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, routers, hubs, switches, desktops, and communication systems. Leo also manages a training group within Cisco called the Solutions Readiness Engineers (SRE). The SRE are dedicated to enabling Collaboration between, Data Center Support to, and Borderless Networks support to Partner Sales Engineers in the America’s Partner Organization through the use of hands-on labs, remote e-Learning and eCamps. His specialties include: CCIE Voice, CCNP, CCNA, MCSE, and CNE. Leo serves as the Co-Chair of the Collin College Computer Networking Advisory Board.
